Please note that for all internship openings, we are only accepting candidates based in Malaysia and Singapore who are either pursuing a Bachelor's degree or are fresh graduates within one year of their graduation date.

What You Will Be Doing
- Product Design: Collaborate with other Product Designers, Engineers, UX Researchers, and Product Managers to to define problems, iterate through solutions while keeping the users and the business in mind.
- Develop and execute UI/UX design solutions that solve user and business problems and take them to market.
- Execute all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to engineering.
- Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas.
- Collaboration: Communicate design proposals and key milestones to peers and team members.
- Research: Collaborate closely with UX Researchers to uncover insights through participating in tests and interviews with our GLUE research group.
- Design System: Assist to maintain our design system, ensuring the work that you and the wider team are delivering aligns to the platform and development practices.
- Analytics: Support data-driven decision making through experimentation, measurement, and analysis.
- Reporting: Assist to monitor users' reactions and measure metrics after launching new features.
- Documentation: Assist to maintain design guidelines, standards, and templates.
- You are required to support any ad hoc tasks as required by the company.
What We Look For In You
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelor’s degree in UI/UX design, computer science, human computer interaction, or related fields.
- You have a portfolio of UI/UX design work which showcases your process and solutions and not just the finished product.
- Relevant past internship experience in UI/UX design is a plus.
- Product Knowledge: Strong desire and passion to learn about the blockchain/cryptocurrency industry and the problems faced by users.
- Design Principles Knowledge: Demonstrated basic understanding of design principles (typography, composition, hierarchy, proportion, patterning, color theory, etc.), knowledge of UX research methods, usability testing, prototyping, knowledge of visual design, user-centered experience design, interaction design and creative process.
- Design Tools: Familiarity with how a design system can be used on Figma.
- User-focused: Analytical and can articulate design decisions very well.
- Familiarity with qualitative and quantitative usability measurement methodologies.
- People Skills: Communicate clearly and have experience working with other individuals in a team towards achieving a common goal.
- Leadership: Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision after 3 months. Has a strong sense of self-leadership, curious & creative on finding ways to improve existing projects & workflows.
- Problem Solving: Passionate about solving problems faced by stakeholders together with strong user empathy.
- Growth mindset: You love delving into new technologies and new ways of doing things.
- Software Development Knowledge: Familiarity with front-end development languages such as HTML, CSS, Javascript, as well as frameworks such as Tailwind or Bootstrap is a plus.
- Prototyping Knowledge: Familiarity with prototyping with v0, claude or chatGPT. Even better if you know how to style with Tailwind or build UI with React.
- You have keen interest in cryptocurrency, NFT, web3, memecoins, and metaverse topics.
Some of the perks while at CoinGecko:
• For Malaysia-based internships, the allowance is RM2,250 (RM1,500 Monthly Allowance + RM150 Parking Allowance + RM600 Meal Allowance).
• For Singapore-based internships, the allowance is SGD1,500 (SGD1,000 Monthly Allowance + SGD100 Parking Allowance + SGD400 Meal Allowance).
