[What you will be working on]

We're looking for an experienced Senior UX Designer to join our mission-driven product team at Public Service Division, where you'll design intuitive, inclusive, and impactful digital services that transform how public officers grow and develop in their careers. This is a key leadership role where you'll mentor junior designers and elevate the quality bar across Public Service Division and GovTech.

You'll be working on a challenging 0-to-1 initiative to uplift public service officers through competency-driven growth, requiring someone with the drive and resilience to build a world-class public service career development portal. This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable with ambiguity, skilled in both user research and interaction design, and thrives in agile, cross-functional teams while championing design thinking and product-market fit.

  • Lead the end-to-end UX design process for our career development platform—from framing problem spaces and officer needs to delivering wireframes, prototypes, and final design specifications

  • Plan and conduct user research (qualitative and quantitative) with public officers to identify career development pain points and opportunities, including usability testing, interviews, surveys, and A/B testing

  • Map complex officer career journeys and service blueprints to uncover barriers to professional growth and advancement

  • Facilitate co-creation and ideation workshops with public service stakeholders, officers, and your cross-functional team to solve career development challenges

  • Communicate your design rationale clearly through visuals, presentations, and storytelling to diverse government stakeholders

  • Advocate for accessibility, inclusive design, and consistent use of design system components across government touchpoints

  • Partner closely with product managers and engineers to scope, test, and deliver features that support officers' career progression and are technically feasible

  • Contribute to and maintain our design system to ensure cohesion across Public Service Division products

  • Champion a culture of collaboration, feedback, and continuous improvement while mentoring junior designers to build design capability

[What we are looking for]

  • 8-10+ years of experience in UX/UI design work with demonstrated leadership in mentoring and capability building

  • Experience contributing to at least two shipped products, preferably in complex or high-impact domains. Prior experience in scale-up environments (e.g., Grab, Lazada, Shopee) or similar fast-growing tech companies is strongly preferred

  • Proven track record in 0-to-1 product development with the resilience and drive to build products from ground up

  • Proficiency in tools like Figma, Miro, Maze, Google Analytics, Notion, and familiarity with Jira or similar tools

  • Comfortable working in agile teams and engaging in rapid cycles of iteration and feedback in ambiguous problem spaces

  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to align design decisions with public service objectives and officer needs

  • Clear communicator with excellent visual, written, and presentation skills for engaging government stakeholders

  • Familiarity with design principles, typography, and accessibility guidelines (e.g., WCAG)

  • Strong concept creation and copywriting skills will be a bonus

  • Demonstrated ability to provide mentorship to junior designers and elevate team design standards

  • Prior experience with designing for government services, regulated domains, or complex workflows is a strong plus
